Eye patches and The Lost Boys and Girls of BDSM

Those boys in Peter Pan who ended up in Neverland were the ones who fell from their cradles in the nursery. After going unclaimed for 7 days they are sent to Neverland where they never grow up.

Girls are never lost because they are far too clever according to the leader of the Lost Boys, Peter Pan. In Neverland, boys remain boys, escaping reality so they can continue playing and doing as they please. Do you see where this is going?

If you’ve found yourself immersed in the world of Femdom, i don’t need to stretch the analogy too far to draw parallels between where boys get lost, and where girls are too clever, but gender is not the point of this story.

We enter Neverland as submissives and Dominants, often as strays finding that escape where we can play, where we feel free to do as we please. Many of us have found it in spite of our upbringing, our location, our communities, and it’s a perfect escape. Others immerse themselves in what is already comfortable and seek to deepen that connection to what we already know about ourselves.

It isn’t until we are ready to take ourselves seriously that we drop the act, put on our big boy (or girl) pants (or panties), and step outside of our comfort zone. When D/s becomes more than fun and games, is when you start learning and mature in your experiences and relationships.

Some days i long to be one of the lost boys, and i think there’s a time and place for playing. Lately, i have had more fun being Captain Hook, helping Wendy tame lost boys. I’m really reaching with this analogy because the rant began with a thong that resembled an eye patch, but if you have hung around me lately, you will know how true this analogy is.

That’s what makes these panties special 😉
