Laughing through pain

I’ve known many who when confronted with pain, react immediately with uncontrollable laughter. I have also seen it described in various forms as a nervous reaction but the reasons given point to something much deeper. Nervous laughter itself is both a physical and emotional reaction to something we don’t want to accept is happening, either to us, from us, or something that could happen in the future.

It is a subconscious decision in the brain to react to the sudden release of endorphins in an unnatural way, it could just as easily be crying, but we can function through laughter. Emotional pain works in a different way from physical, the opposite chemical reaction occurs so as the saying goes, the best medicine is… laughter.

I fight laughter. When i am happy or sad i don’t like to show it. It’s a level of outward vulnerability i just am not comfortable sharing, my mood is mine to protect my emotions can’t be felt by anyone else, nobody make me laugh unless i want them to, unless i allow it.

But, there is one. Who tickles constantly, who opens the giggle lock with a feather, and prods at my frown with a glitter and glam, and i am powerless against Her. I love making other laugh, it’s one of my personality traits that i find most endearing – i intentionally keep my blog positive so you may never discover the non endearing ones – and part of it means sharing in their laughter.

Never discount laughter, even if you refuse to laugh. It’s powerful, it has the power to control you and those around you, and it even has the ability to erase your pain.

These panties tickle my holes.

That’s what makes these panties special 😉
