Filling your cup is a common metaphor for reaching satiation through various means. In all ways metaphorically and literally, rare moments of feeling full should be celebrated and revered.
Appreciate those moments by recording them, allowing you to recall them for a future date. Remember the smell, the sound, sight, taste and feeling, because they act as reminders and often triggers.
I toyed with the idea of triggers and conditioning of learned behavior and i have a slightly different perspective on it. My triggers are not associated with the words, sounds, or the commands themselves, but my response is to the memory of that moment. That first moment that i captured feeds the rest.
Over time memories fade, so i think conditioning serves to preserve them, but i do not believe the learned response is to the action itself
If you have a memory like this, explore ways of recall, repeat the circumstances, look at a picture of the moment if you have one, or discuss the moment with a partner if it was shared. It could be a very useful tool in self care and after care.
